Secure Your Account with 2-Step Verification

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a security feature that helps protect your account by requiring two forms of verification when you sign in. In addition to entering your password, you must verify your identity using a second factor. This additional layer of security helps prevent unauthorized access and reduces the risk of account compromise, even if your password is stolen or exposed.

2-Step Verification FAQs

IAA implemented 2-Step Verification to enhance the security of your account. This feature helps protect your account from fraud and unauthorized access by requiring both your password and a unique verification code to log in.

We’re introducing 2-Step Verification to help protect your account from fraud and unauthorized access. By enabling this feature, you’re ensuring that even if someone has your password, they cannot access your account without the verification code.

When logging into your IAA account, you'll need to:

  1. Enter your password as usual.
  2. Enter a 6-digit verification code sent to your phone via text message or generated by an authenticator app.

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Login & Security settings and select Enable 2-Step Verification.
  2. Choose how you'd like to receive verification codes:
    1. Text message (for phone numbers with a US, Canada, or Mexico country code)
    2. Authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Duo Mobile, or Authy)
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Only phone numbers with a US, Canada, or Mexico country code are eligible to receive verification codes via text message. If your phone number doesn’t have one of these country codes, you’ll only see the option to use an authenticator app.

  1. Go to your Login & Security settings and select Enable 2-Step Verification.
    1. Make sure your mobile phone number is on file.
    2. If your phone number has a US, Canada, or Mexico country code, you’ll see the option to enable text message verification.
  2. IAA will send you a 6-digit verification code via text message.
  3. Enter the code into the field labeled 6-Digit Verification Code to complete the setup.

  1. Go to your Login & Security settings and select Enable 2-Step Verification.
  2. Open your authenticator app.
  3. Scan the QR code displayed during setup, or manually enter the key provided.
  4. Your app will generate a 6-digit code.
  5. Enter the code into the field labeled 6-Digit Verification Code to complete the setup.

Yes, but you’ll need to contact our Buyer Services team to disable this feature. For your security, disabling 2-Step Verification is not available directly from your account settings.
